It’s Saturday! Yay. What? No, it’s…I mean…yes, it’s Caturday, too, but that’s not here. That’s over here. Over here, we’ve started a new tradition. And by we, I mean I, because Revis and Jaded are much too respectable to follow me anywhere. I hope.
Anyhow, it’s time for the Saturday 9, hosted by Sam. Here is this week’s interrogation are this week’s questions:
Unfamiliar with this week’s song? Hear it here. (Wow. I’ve heard that song before, but never paid attention to the lyrics. That really hit home.)
1) This song is about a friendship that turned romantic … and it doesn’t end happily. Have you ever crossed that line with a friend? If so, how did it work out?
Yes. It turned out horribly, just as it did in the song. I really miss my friend, too. I wish there were certain things I could do over again so I could save that friendship.
2) When he was a kid, this week’s singer, Alex Clare, listened to his dad’s Stevie Wonder records. When you were in 7th/8th grades, what music were you into?
That was the late 80’s, so it was the pop of the day. Poison. Def Leppard. Bobby Brown. Guns N’ Roses. Vanilla Ice. MC Hammer. Paula Abdul (shame). Jesus this list is embarrassing.

3) “Too Close” has been featured on the TV show, The Vampire Diaries. Do you enjoy shows/books/movies about the supernatural?
Some, yes. I love the Blade and Underworld series.
4) Some of Alex Clare’s tour dates were sponsored by Bud Light. Do you like beer?
No. I wish I did since beer is so much cheaper than every other alcoholic beverage. I’ve tried multiple kinds, too, because my dad claims I’m not his son until I start drinking beer. That’s okay, I’m a momma’s boy anyhow.
5) Mr. Clare trained to be a chef, just in case the music thing didn’t work out. Are you a good cook?
I’m good at what I know how to make. I suppose I should expand my culinary palette, but lazeh.
6) Crazy Sam is forever running out of mayo because she slathers it on her sandwiches. What is currently on your grocery list?
As has been discussed before, I don’t keep a grocery list. I just wing it.
7) Where are you most likely to find spare change — between the sofa cushions, in your jeans as you toss them into the washer, or under the floor mat of your car?
In the console of my car, actually. I don’t normally carry cash so I don’t have a whole lot of change anywhere, but when I have cash I normally eat at a drive thru and the change ends up in the console of my car. Getting into my pockets while I’m sitting down (strapped down with a seatbelt, no less) just ain’t happening.
8) How did you spend your Friday night — working late, hanging out with friends, or just enjoying a quiet night at home?
Well, seeing as how I’m writing this before Friday night happened, I’m not sure. What I have planned, though, is going to the twins’ basketball game and then going out for dinner with my boys. After that, who knows?
9) Do you use Pinterest?
Um, no. You’ll never find me there unless someone sends me a link to something funny there, then I do a virtual walk of shame right outta that place.
Would you like to join in on the fun? Would you like to be interrogated answer these questions, too? Head on over to the Saturday 9 and link up!

Interesting answers. I never liked that song. Respectable…holds in laugh speaking for me and not Revis…
Hope you have a good Saturday.

Well, compared to me you’re respectable.

Oh, the 80s. I think embarrassment and the 80s pretty much go hand in hand.

Hard to argue that.

I’m always a tad sceptic when people don’t like beer – they are so many different kinds, tastes… But okay,of course it’s possibme. (Have you tried coming to Belgium and try some though?)
LikeLike
Haha. No. They all taste the same to me, actually.

No difference between the blondes and the dark beers even?

Not that I can tell.

Then beer seems to be really not your thing indeed :).

If you can make the chilli, you can probably follow a recipe, and once you’re comfortable with how food works, you can just throw things together.
I highly recommend it.

I have, but I just don’t like cooking all that much.

It’s not a question of whether or not to follow you. It’s just that nobody cares what my answers to these questions are. That makes it easy for me to justify not doing it.

Urgh Pinterest. Ain’t nobody got time for that!
I also have a HUGE collection of change in the console of my car. Usually to pay for parking and tolls when I’m driving. Apart from that none.
And OMG if I could un-sleep with that girl on the many occasions that I did sleep with her I totally would.

I honestly have no idea what the purpose of Pinterest is. I’m hopeless, I suppose.

Not for that reason.

Let’s go pin stuff. If that’s code for “drink”, I’m in.
Seriously, it came up on LAP, too. It’s what? Imaginarily pinning things to a virtual bulletin board? I completely don’t get it.

I guess. I really don’t know.

Dude. Paula Abdul? I hesitated to hit “like”, I really did, but I know I had to comment on that.

One thing that always kills me with laughter is remembering the music video to “Uptown Girl” where they have synchronised spanners as they’re “fixing” the car. In fact, I’ve just found on YouTube and you don’t even have to watch longer than 20 seconds to see the synchronised spanners…

Wow. I haven’t heard that in FOREVER.

Please tell me you laughed at the synchronised spanners!

Paula Abdul? I can’t believe you admitted to that. I’d never admit to that. And beer sucks, I never liked it either. Blade and Underworld are awesome, I want to be Selene when I grow up!

Selene is bad ass. And like I said before, I was 11 when I liked Paula Abdul.

Yeah, you were 11 so it’s excusable. I was 15 or 16, I had no excuse 😉

I was listening too all sorts of everything by then, but still mostly metal. I just wonder how I went from King Diamond to Paula Abdul on the same mixtape, no wonder I had issues hahaha!
