We don’t care whether or not you want this news. You’re getting it.

Things are happening ’round the ‘sphere, peeps. After I found this really cool pic of Boba Fett and yours truly (not really me…sigh) anchoring the news, I decided I wanted to use that pic again. And what better way to do that than to report on happenings ’round the ‘sphere??

Answer: There is no better way, meatba…I mean, master.

Thanks, HK. Asshole…

On to the news!

Incredible writer, mother, and human being (I know you think I’m talking about myself, but play close attention. I said mother, not father.) Dawn of W.T.F. (I wish I’d thought of that name.) has launched a joint project with Joyelle entitled Trigger Points. Their goal is to create an Anthology in which parents who are also survivors of abuse can tell their stories.

Most of us are parents. A good portion of us parents have survived some form of childhood abuse. Sadly, there is shockingly little literature for survivors of abuse raising their own children. Dawn and Joyelle hope to change that. Right now, they have a Facebook group started for those who are willing to share their stories. If you’d like to contribute to this project, head on over to the Trigger Points Facebook page and find out how.

There is a new poetry blog in town! Laura, Hasty, and Tamara have teamed up (Avengers assemble!) to create The Reverie. They will host weekly prompts, feature your poetry, and will even be publishing biannual journals featuring…your work! That’s right, YOU could get published through this online magazine! Get on over to The Reverie and find out how!

You should also follow Laura, Hasty, and Tamara on their own blogs, where they share their infinite creativity with all of us lesser people.

Do you have writer’s block? We’ll show you how to conquer it tonight at 11. What? 11 has already come and gone? Well, shit. I guess we’ll (How many am I?) tell you right now.

Would you believe me if I told you there was a way to infuse your blog with amazing content AND help an amazing cause at the same time? Well, I may be a liar (depending on who you ask) but in this case I’m telling the naked truth. And as you all know, everything is better naked. Except for frying. You need at least a shirt on to catch that hot grease jumping all over the place. Unless you like the burn. In that case continue frying naked.

My BBFFFL Lizzi has decided to sell her prose for a very worthy cause. For a donation to any cancer charity of your choice, Lizzi will write words. Not only will she write words, they will be amazing words, because they’ll be hers. AND…she’ll let you publish them on YOUR blog!! This is a gift you can treasure always. Lizzi’s words are spectularamazingmindblowing, and I’ve had the absolute HONOR of having her (Not like THAT!) on my blog more than once.

If you’re interested, make a donation to any cancer charity, and then hit Lizzi up. Fair warning, though, the queue (Do I get cool British points for saying that?) is already lengthy, so get moving, mate!

My buddy Nicole Marie is a Contest Coordinator and Assistant Poetry Editor for non-profit literary magazine Philadelphia Stories, and she has an exciting announcement over on her blog! They are having a poetry contest! The Sandy Crimmins National Prize for Poetry contest, to be specific. Check out Nicole Marie’s post for more details! You could win money! Dough! Cash! Dinero! Benjamins! Dolla dolla bills, y’all.

Many of you know Helena Hann-Basquiat (I’ll never be able to spell that without looking it up, dammit.), daring and distinguished dilettante extraordinaire. Did you know she has a dark side? Okay, okay. We ALL have a dark side. Fine. Did you know her dark side has a name? Ha! You can’t claim that one, can you? Sucka.

Helena’s alter-ego, Jessica B. Bell, has gathered the darkness around her and plans to unleash it during Devil’s Week (Devil’s Night is the night before Halloween, so I’m only assuming that the week before Halloween is Devil’s Week. Does that make this Devil’s Month? I’m confused.) If you’d like to contribute your own darkness to this epic haunting, visit Helena’s place and drop Jessica a message to find out more.

They’re telling me I’m all outta time, but I’m not ready to go. You know what? I’ve had enough.

Fuck it, I quit. (Yes, I’m going to overuse this, because it’s fucking hilarious.

      1. You, sir, are a ledge-ledgetty-LEGEND! Many many thanks. And in fact I am about to SHUT MY LAPTOP because I need to finish writing one of the Actual, In Fact Letters that was ‘bought’ to raise money.

Thank you so, so very much for sharing my effort to Kick Cancer’s Ass! You’re awesome 🙂

          1. I try. And I spent so much time looking for news to share here I forgot to mention mine, which was one of the reasons I started this post. Sigh…

I’ll just make another post tomorrow.

          2. Well, it’s already up….

I’ll just throw something together for tomorrow. The walk is in two weeks, so I wanted to push it again.

Really, I think what you’re doing is important, and I was planning on sharing it whether or not your twisted my arm.
