It’s that time again! Time for me to take a piece of my little world and plaster it all over the internet for public consumption. What could possibly go wrong?
Thanks again to Lady Di for hosting this event!
Do you have any family traditions?
Nothing really special. We normally do everything on Christmas Eve, though. Since we’re a blended family and there are so many places to visit and people to see, it’s just easier to split everything up into separate days.
With December on its way, have you ever been carol singing?
Oh, no. I’ve never even gone carol singing without December on its way. Do people still do that?
Do you decorate your home for the Christmas holidays?
Not my entire home, but we put up a tree and a few decorations in the house. I’d like to have some lights or other decorations outside, but this old house has no outdoor electrical outlets. Boo.
Do you enjoy the Christmas rush for preparations and shopping?
The opposite, actually. I don’t enjoy being rushed for anything, but the time between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day is pretty calm, and everything slows down. The kids are off school, and I’m typically off of work, so I enjoy that “dead zone” in life.
Gratitude: Our friends in the US have just celebrated Thanksgiving.
Thankful? Thankful…. Hmmmm….. This week I’m grateful for family and being able to spend Thanksgiving with them.
Love the way you describe your family as ‘blended’. Thanks for joining in.
