Fist strikes
Powerful lightning
Fear invoked
Quite frightening
Epithets clap
Rolling thunder
Heart shattered
Is it any wonder?
Emotions swirl
Tornadic winds
Destroying all
Unforgiving sins
Tears pour down
Torrential rain
Clouded vision
Unbearable pain
Storm passes
At an end
Destruction left
Cannot mend
Cannot believe
Havoc wreaked
No memory
Completely freaked
Sorrow felt
Burning shame
Uncontrolled
Heart aflame
Seems it was a poetic day. Nicely done, very powerful.

The events that inspired them must have been quite SOMETHING

Not really. I was just thinking about how when you get angry it’s kinda like a storm. It hits, you’re not sure what the hell’s happening, and when it’s over you’re just kinda dumbfounded.

You’re welcome.. I don’t often say this out loud b/c I don’t want to be offensive -but I’m sometimes not always a poetry fan…it just depends. But I’ve read some really great works on people’s blog.
I am horrified to listen to people reading poetry – I would rather read it in my mind with my own mind-voice 🙂
Is that rude?

Nope. We each have a preferences. I’m not always in the mood for poetry. I have to be in a certain frame of mind to either read it or write it. Honestly, I enjoy writing it much more than I do reading it. I guess I’m just weird that way.

Wonderful, twindaddy. Like she said up there ^, powerful. It’s so cool how a storm is much like our emotions.

I don’t know if it’s cool or not, but it’s pretty true to me.

Sometimes it’s good to let it all out. Release all the pent up energy. Sometimes it’s cleansing. If done in a healthy way.

Glad to read in the earlier comments that this was a description and not a tell all. Well written, TwinDaddy.

No, I’ve never struck anyone in anger. Well, not since I was a child and hit my brother that one time…

I know from personal experience that brothers often deserve it. Sisters? Sisters are perfectly reasonable at all times. Or I was.

Of course they are. Also, I wouldn’t know since I don’t have one.
